These are some of the sites I’ve worked on in my current role of front-end developer at Pixelbuilders; alongside a talented team of designers, back-end developers & project managers to create some great projects.

Barcode Genie

Built with a Headless CMS, Astro, React & deployed to Azure via a CI/CD pipeline this was a full-stack project utilising some cloud solutions to host the CMS and static site separately.

Thanks to the static content being generated at build time the load times are incredibly fast

Leadtech needed to be a very flexible site in theme and widgets as it spanned a number of microsites from the same codebase.

The animations with the coloured pills throughout the site were a lot of fun to work on

A site for building materials with a contrasting colours that really pop out. Lots of small micro-interactions and animations to liven up the site.

A large scale project running across multiple brands, this was a great use case for design systems, requiring close work with the design team to ensure it was maintainable across the different brands

I've been a web developer for almost a decade, wearing many hats throughout that time - from full-stack to dedicated front-end.

I like problem solving no matter the tech-stack and enjoy picking up new technologies.

I've worked at a range of companies from advertising agencies, to a start-up - and currently work as a front-end focussed web developer at Pixelbuilders

Cooking

Who doesn’t enjoy a hobby you can eat?

I’m currently obsessed with Portuguese custard tarts.

Great for my tastebuds - not so good for my waistband

Fitness

Several times a week you’ll find me fighting gravity over heavy objects repeatedly in the gym.

I also try to run a couple of half marathons a year for the “fun” of it (can you tell I don’t have kids yet?)

Both do wonders for your mental health as well as your physical - just don’t ask me about either or I will try to convince you to run the next half with me.

Currently saving the nine-realms in God of War: Ragnarok as the angriest man from Sparta

Reading

I flip-flop between sci-fi & fantasy mostly, recently been reading a fair bit of Adrian Tchaikovsky but I will often be found in Brandon Sanderson’s latest fantasy work.

Big win for Dune fans recently with the adaptations, though the 1984 version still holds a special place in my heart.
